Solveig Slettahjell and the Slow Motion Orchestra at Energimølla, Kongsberg

The Slow Motion family now concists of six members in addition to Solveig; Sjur Miljeteig (trumpet), Per Oddvar Johansen (drums), Jo Berger Myhre (doublebass), Morten Qvenild (piano), Andreas Ulvo (piano and organ) and Even Hermansen (guitar). They have also since the beginning been working together with norwegian soundengineer Asle Karstad and he has been a very important participant in developing their live expression.

Solveig Slettahjell Slow Motion Orchestra are now ready with their 6th album, Tarpan seasons, released in Norway 7. September 09 and abroad february 2010. Tarpan Seasons is mainly based on Solveig`s highly acclaimed commisioned piece for the Norwegian jazzfestival Vossajazz in April 09. Solveig and the band will be touring Norway in the fall of 09 and Europe Ferbuary – April 2010.
